Sand wax, also known as sand grain powder, sand flour, or graining powder, is generally used in baking paints and can also be used in air-drying paints and inks. It creates a unique sand-grained decorative effect in paints and inks, resulting in a delicate and elegant appearance and a smooth and soft feel.
WQ-6000 is a series of sand wax products with different particle sizes. It forms a fine, sand-like textured layer that improves anti-blocking, increases durability, and provides a matte or slightly rough finish. WQ-6000 Commonly added to coatings or inks, sand wax helps improve scratch resistance, reduce friction, and enhance overall surface performance.

Properties and Applications
- WQ-M6000 has excellent compatibility with various resin systems, resists settling and floating, and offers decorative, scratch-resistant, and abrasion-resistant properties.
- WQ-M6000 has a uniform particle size distribution, resulting in a good visual effect. It also exhibits excellent heat resistance, withstanding baking temperatures exceeding 160°C.
- WQ-M6000 is primarily used in industrial coatings for computer cases, communications equipment, electronic products, small hardware, and furniture. It can also be used in some matte inks and printing pastes for the apparel and footwear industries.
Dosage and Usage
- To ensure uniform particle size, sand flour cannot be added through grinding equipment.
- Sand flour generally accounts for 3-8% of the total formulation, with the specific amount determined based on the coating thickness and desired sanding effect.
